Since the summer of 1999, the Tulane Office of Environmental Affairs has provided assistance to the many environmental efforts undertaken by Tulane departments, offices and programs. With a largely student staff, we promote recycling, energy efficiency, and alternative transportation options across the Tulane community. We also research and develop new programs to help "green" the Tulane campus.
For a history of its creation, read the student honors thesis that launched this office, "Greening the Campus: Institutional Environmental Change at Tulane University."
